Rooted is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to inspire individuals and resource communities by connecting them to God and His people. Our vision is that people will live empowered lives deeply rooted in Christ. Rooted carries out its mission and vision by focusing on three core pillars: a rooted life, a rooted faith and a rooted body.
In response to the multitude of needs around us, Rooted seeks to be a haven for the weary and a beacon for those seeking to embrace the roots of faith, family, and well-being. By carrying out a variety of educational classes, organizing community focused events, and inspiring genuine rooted living, we will see individuals and communities locally and across the country embrace a life that is rooted deeply in the things that matter most.
Rooted was started by three friends who had the heart to live life authentically with others and create communities where people were safe to share their hurts, ask hard questions, and be the individuals God created them to be. We believe in every aspect of life we truly are better together!
Our Culture:
The culture we create is just as important as the vision we cast, so we build and guard it carefully. The culture at Rooted isn’t the only way to do things but it is our way. The Rooted Way characterizes who we are as an organization and guides us in how we carry out our mission.
- We are Better Together – God has created and called us into authentic relationships; with Him and with others. When we discover real, connecting relationships in our lives, we can: know and be known; love and be loved; celebrate and be celebrated; and serve and be served.
- We Don’t Hide – The competition is over and the filters are off; we come together as simply and honestly as we can manage, showing up transparently with each other about our own fears, failures and mistakes. Because when we show up as we are we invite others to do the same and we discover we have more in common that we do that divides us.
- We Take New Ground – We run after Jesus and the life He has for us with all that we have. We stand for what is good, true and beautiful in this world and do whatever it takes to help others do the same.
- We Love Big – We believe in loving those around us without reservation. While we may not know all the answers, we know the One who does. Wherever you come from and whatever you are facing today, you’ll find a place at the table here at Rooted.
- We Dig Deep – We believe that God invites people to take ongoing, daily intentional steps of faith. Living a life of faith requires digging deep into God’s Word and into our own hearts. It’s a hard and holy work, but we are here for it! While everyone has to walk their own faith journey, our goal is to guide people in the direction of Truth and encourage them to live a life deeply rooted in Christ.
- We Go All In – For each other and for the Kingdom of God. We give big because we have been given much. We believe in generosity and giving from a grateful heart. We believe God has given us each talents and gifts to be refined and used for His glory and for the service of His people.
